With IMAP you have the option to personalize all the built-in recommendations and estimations features, to fit them to your own circumstances and to your goal. To do so, you have to complete all the information that you will find in the setup module.
AREAS OF THE SETUP MODULE
​
You can quickly access to the setup module clicking on the icon that you will find in the top-right side of any section, where you will find the following sections:
 
  • Goal, information about interests, preparation, and expectations.
  • Profile, information to shape your investor profile.
  • Income, sources and quality of your income.
  • Expenses, costs strings and threats.
  • Help, technical support.
 
Each of these sections have been given a number to easily identify them in case you need any specific support. The available options to answer each of these setup points are explained below.

There is another special section of setup that is specific to the data. To know more about it, please refer to the Data management in IMAP guide.
TYPES OF ANSWERS
​
Each setup point has different options to answer that can be summarized by the following classification:
 
  • Open-ended: free to write what you want.
  • Closed-ended: a limited number of options to chose from.
  • Rating Scale:  to assess the issue based on a given dimension, with 4 possible values, high, medium, low, or none.
  • Boolean: two possible values, yes or no.
  • Integer: whole numbers, greater than or equal to zero.
 
In addition, some of the setup points have set rules limiting the answer to a specified range of values.

IDEAS
​
All the information that you input in the setup module allows IMAP to get personalized recommendations and insights, but you also have the possibility of squeeze it and get what we call ideas, our personal recommendations about the steps you should take to achieve your goal.
