The option to export data appears in the left side bar of all the app screens with this symbol      . When clicked, it shows the following window:

This process allows you to export two types of information:

  • Profile and investments information.
  • App logs.

Both options generate a different CSV file in the directory set in the setup section: the first file is useful to get ideas, and the second file is useful to get technical support.

Before exporting the data, make sure that you have all the data controls in place, as explained in the data management guide.

NOTE
To know more about how you can benefit getting personalized information using ideas, click here.
Once you have selected the options and clicked the "EXPORT" button, the process will automatically prepare the information and generate the corresponding files.

The files are generated by day, so if you execute the process twice in the same day, you will only have one file.

REQUEST IDEAS

To request an idea you have to select the "export profile and investments information" option. Once the file is ready, you will find it in the corresponding folder with the name imap_ideas_YYMMDD.csv, being YY the year, MM the month, and DD the day when the file was generated.

Next, you have to tell us which idea or ideas (remember that you can ask for more than one type of idea at a time) that you need. You can do this in two different ways:

  1. Fill this form and submit it to us.
  2. Send us a message with the email address that you used when you signed up, the idea or ideas  that you want, and attach the file generated with the export process.

GETTING TECHNICAL SUPPORT

It could be possible that we would need to check the app logs if something wouldn't be working as expected. In those (rare) occasions you will need  to select the "export app logs" option.

The process this time is similar to the one followed before. Once the file is ready, you will find it in the corresponding folder with the name imap_logs_YYMMDD.csv, being YY the year, MM the month, and DD the day when the file was generated.

Next, you just need to send us a message using the email address that you used when you signed up, explaining us a bit about the issue, and attaching the file generated with the export process.
