IMAP has been designed as a reflection of an investments strategy for private investors developed by John Bogle long time ago. This approach its based on the believe that people can better than anyone else manage their money by themselves, and there is already enough evidence to know that this is a winning approach.
WHAT IS THE BOGLE STRATEGY?

So, what characterizes this approach?

  • There is no need to have financial background to understand investments.
  • You can enable yourself and become a better investor and manager of your own financial resources.
  • Choose a sound financial lifestyle.
  • Keep it simple, use index funds as your investments vehicle.
  • Costs matter, so cut them to the minimum: do it yourself.
  • Track your progress and rebalance when necessary.

TIP
There is much more behind this approach. If you want to learn more about it, you can read the book The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing. You won´t regret. You can find it here.

NOT FOR...

Understanding this approach, it should be clear that IMAP is not designed for peple who wants use their money to speculate, doing a lot of operations and trying to get profit in the short term. If your profile is fits to this, you may look for another solution that will give you what you need.

Another important point to have in consideration is that IMAP is neither designed to use it everyday, despite you can do it. The aim is that you track the progress of your portfolio from time to time, like every 3 or 4 months. This is why we think that nowadays an offline platform works better than a cloud platform for getting your financial goals, as you shouldn´t be hanged to it every day.
BETTER FOR...

IMAP is designed to be used for any kind of objective, but we think that it will work better for the long-term ones, for example from 5 years ahead. This is because with this approach, as we have already explained, you cannot expect to have a great impact in the short-term.
